
About Sadia Athar
Sadia Athar is a dynamic community leader, human rights advocate, and accomplished visual artist. She is a co-founder and secretary of Asian & Irish Community Connect. With a background in Fine Arts and a portfolio of qualifications in Strategic Management & Leadership, Training & Development, and Anti-Racism, Sadia brings creativity and conviction to every initiative she leads.
She currently serves as Chairperson of a Community Group (IPCN) and President of a human rights organisation (KPSCI) aswell as volunteered with many organisations. Her work spans grassroots activism, cultural programming, political engagement, and policy advocacy. Her efforts focus on advancing equality, disability rights, women’s empowerment, and migrant inclusion, all rooted in a deep commitment to social justice and community cohesion.
She is actively involved in projects that foster integration and inclusion across Ireland. Sadia believes in building bridges through mutual respect, sharing experiences, inclusive dialogue and creating awareness & opportunities that empower the wider community. Her leadership is driven by a vision of an empowered, united, and culturally vibrant society, one where every voice is heard and every community thrives.
